HUGE hit by Boro. Konecny looked like he wasn’t expecting the hit??

  • Jakub Voracek is tougher than he gets credit for much of the time.
  • Remember his effort in last season’s Stadium Series game?
  • He’s also missed only 13 games since the 2012-13 season, playing 557 out of a possible 570 contests.
  • On Saturday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center, Voracek stepped up to the plate as the Senators delivered a pair of hard back-to-back hits on Travis Konecny and Joel Farabee.
  • The 22-year-old Konecny, who is leading the Flyers in scoring, was forced to leave the game to get checked after Mark Borowiecki leveled him in open ice.
  • He did not return for the start of the second period.

  • Five seconds into his shift and following the hit on Farabee, Voracek dropped the gloves with Nick Paul. The fans loved it.
  • To open the middle frame, Farabee fought Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who delivered the hit on the 19-year-old.
