Andrew Harris, Blue Bombers bring out the Grey Cup in Winnipeg, get standing ovation

  • It’s been just over a week since the Winnipeg Blue Bombers captured their 11th Grey Cup title in franchise history with a 33-12 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, but when it’s your city’s first Grey Cup title in 29 years you celebrate as long as you possibly can.
  • On Tuesday night, the Winnipeg Jets played their first home game since the night before the Grey Cup and they had some special guests in attendance for their tilt with the Dallas Stars.

  • Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Andrew Harris, quarterback Chris Streveler and wide receiver Nic Demski came out onto the ice rocking Jets threads with their new friend, the Grey Cup, and there wasn’t a body left in their seat.

  • Usually one person drops the puck while the others watch on, but when you deliver a Grey Cup to the city that’s been waiting the longest to win again, every player gets to drop the puck.
