Alex Kerfoot will be out indefinitely

  • Leafs centre Alexander Kerfoot is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair facial dental fractures.
  • Kerfoot originally sustained the injury on Nov. 5 vs. Los Angeles.
  • After Kerfoot reported ongoing discomfort while the team was in New York to face the Islanders, consultation testing determined that surgery was required to repair the facial dental fractures
  • In 20 games this season, Kerfoot has five goals and eight points. He was acquired in July from the Colorado Avalanche along with Tyson Barrie in the trade which saw Nazem Kadri head the other way.
