- Kris Letang was candid, and defensive, in his season wrap-up interview.
“You don’t want me to make mistakes? I’ll try that. Next year, I’ll try to make no mistakes at all.”
- Kris Letang defiantly said Thursday that he doesn’t believe he needs to change his aggressive style of play after a few failed gambles loomed large as the Penguins got swept out of the playoffs by the New York Islanders.
- Letang made his permanent return to the lineup during the last week of the regular season and struggled greatly in the first round.
- He had just one point, was a minus-3 and cost the Penguins in Game 1 with a bad turnover at the Islanders’ blue line in overtime, leading to an odd-man rush that culminated in the game-winner.
