Erik Karlsson, Max Pacioretty and Tyler Seguin all have a point in common,
they all gone sour with their General Manager. We know for a fact that Karlsson and Pacioretty
will probably not start the season with their respected team, and now Tyler Seguin has just publicly
announced that hopes are pretty slim to resign an extension contract with the Stars.
That being said, let’s take a look at the Top 10 players gone sour with their GM and ended up leaving.
10. Alex Galchenyuk vs Bergevin
Alex Galchenyuk was a 3rd overall pick by the montreal canadiens back in 2012.
He was supposedly drafted to fill in the big hole at center, but the administration
decided otherwise by jumping him back and forth from center to wing and wing to center.
Galchenyuk had some ups and downs, but after six years in Montreal, he never really had the
chance to perform on a consistent basis as a centerman. His confidence dropped so low that
he found himself dealing with off ice issues: media, ex girlfriend, montreal police, drugs and rehab…
Last june, Marc Bergevin decided to trade his very own first choice as a Montreal GM in return of Max Domi.
That being said, it is still to early to analyse who won this trade, but most of the expert agrees to say that the
lost of Galchenyuk in Montreal, will certainly not help their scoring problems.
